Visitors to The Station can enjoy the wonderfully evocative smell of baking bread, thanks to the Angel’s Share bakery, which specialises in home-made breads, cakes, scones, quiches and patisserie. The sticky treacle tarts, indulgent fruit frangipanes and hand-crafted pavlovas are particular favourites, sold in individual portions or as entire desserts!
Baked daily, the breads include white and wholemeal loaves as well as speciality breads like olive, sundried tomato and cheese. Try the Richmondshire loaf (made from rye and white flour, with cracked wheat and topped with polenta) and the locally inspired Brompton (made with buttermilk, pine kernels and sunflower seeds).
Next door to the bakery is the Angel's Share Pasta Shop, selling homemade pasta, fresh pasta sauces, pestos and olive oils. Freshly cooked Italian ready-meals also sold with crisp Mediterranean-style salads and mouth-watering desserts. Ready-meals cater for up to 12 people.
