Discounts
Our rates are already very reasonable, but a 25% room-hire discount (non-cumulative) may be allowed for:
- Registered charities with their base in DL9, DL10 or DL11 postcodes.
- Recognised non-profit community organisations in DL9, DL10 or DL11 postcodes (the Station Trustees meet quarterly to consider applications for recognition).
- Bookings made at less than 15 days' notice.
- Bookings which include both the Platform and the Swale Room at the same time.
Booking
You can download our Enquiry Form, or call us on (01748) 828260 from 9am to 1pm, Monday - Friday; outside those times, call (01748) 850123. Alternatively, email roomhire@thestation.co.uk with a summary of your requirements and a contact telephone number. We will agree details with you, and if you want to go ahead will then send you a booking form.
Conditions
It will generally be possible for hirers to set up rooms 30 minutes before the formal start time. Rooms must be completely vacated of people and possessions by the end of the booked time-slot, except by special arrangement (which may be necessary for, e.g., the Platform). We suggest that you build a 15-minute departure window into your event-planning.
Prices and conditions may change at any time without warning, but also without effect on existing bookings.

Travel
Much of the appeal of Richmond is that it is a historic town. To keep it that way, parking sprawl is discouraged. Parking at The Station is intentionally limited, and spaces can fill up fast. However, there are plenty of car parks within easy walking distance, and buses run every 20 minutes or so from the Market Place, taking only 2 minutes to reach The Station.
